Creativity for me is not a choice, but more of a compulsion, if an immensely satisfying one.

Photography and beaded jewelry are my main media, but I also work in paper and fabric arts. I always want to learn and do more.

In photography, I believe you can’t do much to enhance a well-composed, well-lit shot. Until recently, I only shot black and white film, using natural light, but I have started playing with digital. It feels uncomfortably easy, so I do not allow myself any manipulation of the image.

Even my jewelry is deceptively simple. What makes it stand out is my use of color, materials, and proportion in each one-of-a-kind piece. The right color in a necklace can make the wearer’s eyes flash, cheeks glow, and hair shine. I love to make someone sparkle!

I seek the beauty and, sometimes, humor in the ordinary and overlooked. I want to share this sense of appreciation and connection and fun with you!
